In the past I’ve worked as a media specialist in an elementary school and have done dyslexia intervention, kindergarten enrichment, science camps, and a preschool co-op.
I’ve lived in Highlands Ranch since 2006 with my husband, an aerospace engineer. We have Whitney (16), Will (13), and two crazy doodle pups. In my free time I enjoy going to live trivia, book club, and volunteering with Joyful Light Youth Theater.

Maria Fox (Assistant Teacher) I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Pennsylvania. I have had the privilege and joy of working here at St. Luke’s Little School since its opening in 1995. Previous to working here I taught pre-school in Pennsylvania and Michigan, started a Toddler Program and Storytime for 3-year-olds at Northridge Rec Center (back when there was only one rec center in Highlands Ranch!), was certified and taught Infant Massage, and was a stay-at-home mom. I have 3 grown children, a wonderful daughter-in-law, two granddaughters and a grandson. In my free time I love to quilt, work in my garden, read and spend time with family and friends. I look forward to meeting you!

Aftercare Teachers

I am Sam Leahy (Aftercare Teacher) and currently serve as the Director of Community & Early Childhood Ministry on St. Luke's church staff. I have been on staff since 2003. I studied health care administration at Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. My 30 years of personal and professional experience coupled with my genuine love of children and connecting with people has allowed me to develop my passion for the care and tutelage of others. My partner Tom & I love spending time in small mountain towns, at Colorado sporting events, and with our 4 adult children and their four legged friends.
